Navigating the New GOCare Connect UI (July 2025)
Quick Summary
This article introduces the redesigned GOCare Connect interface and outlines key changes in layout, navigation, and inbox behavior. It includes instructions for enabling the new UI ahead of the July 15 switchover and explains what users can expect as part of the transition.
New UI Rollout Timeline
GOCare Connect’s updated interface is being rolled out in phases:
July 15: Becomes the default experience for all users
Early August: Becomes mandatory, with no option to revert
⚠️ Recommendation: We strongly recommend enabling the new UI now to allow your team time to get comfortable ahead of the required transition.
How to Enable the New Inbox Experience
Some users might have the ability to preview the updated interface:
Click your user avatar in the top-right corner of the screen
Toggle on “Enable new inbox experience”
Your view will refresh automatically to display the new UI layout
💡 Tip: You can toggle back to the old UI until August 1. After that, the new UI will become standard across all accounts.
What’s Changed in the New UI
Inbox Tabs: Open, Later, Done
The personal inbox is now divided into three distinct tabs:
Open: Messages currently assigned to you or shared with you
Later: Conversations that are snoozed or marked as “waiting” (in ticketed inboxes)
Done: Archived and resolved conversations (resolved for ticketed inboxes)
ℹ️ Info: This layout unifies how ticketed and non-ticketed inboxes behave, removing confusion over where “Waiting” or “Resolved” conversations live.
App Navigation Moved to Dropdown
The navigation menu (previously across the top) is now a dropdown in the top-left corner of the screen. Use this menu to switch between:
Inbox
Calendar
Contacts
Analytics
Help Center
App Section | Mac (Desktop App) | Windows (Desktop App) |
---|---|---|
Inboxes | ⌘ + 1 | Ctrl + 1 |
Calendar | ⌘ + 2 | Ctrl + 2 |
Contacts | ⌘ + 3 | Ctrl + 3 |
Analytics | ⌘ + 4 | Ctrl + 4 |
Help Center | ⌘ + 5 | Ctrl + 5 |
ℹ️ These shortcuts are supported within the app. On Mac, they map to Control (⌃) + 1, Control (⌃) + 2, Control (⌃) + 3, etc. within the browser.
Settings Gear and Profile Section Have Moved
The Settings gear icon and Profile section have been relocated. They are no longer in the top-right corner.
New location: Bottom-left corner of the screen, in the sidebar
This change aligns with other app navigation patterns and streamlines layout consistency.
What Comes Next
We are currently auditing Knowledge Base articles that will be affected by the new layout and navigation patterns. Visuals and written instructions will be updated after the UI stabilizes.
ℹ️ Note: You may notice temporary mismatches between screenshots and what you see in the new UI. These will be corrected in phases throughout July.
